Counties Convene to Launch PADs Phase 2

The fall 2025 convening of the Multi-County Psychiatric Advance Directives (PADs) Project was hosted by Monterey County on October 28–29, officially launching Phase 2 of the initiative. Representatives from the eight participating counties and contractors met for a focused planning session.
During the convening, participants reflected on their experiences with the project, sharing one word that captured what the PADs initiative means to them. The responses formed a powerful picture of the project’s spirit: transformative, empowering, innovative, hopeful, and impactful were among the most common words shared.
